Turkeys calling turkeys!

We are privileged this week to have our former pastor, Bro. Dennis Wilder, with us. He and his family moved to Ripley, TN last year. Bro. Dennis contacted us during the winter about some of the men in his church coming up for a mission trip. They arrived Saturday evening and attended church with us on Sunday before taking a "tour" of the area. This morning they started on their construction project, putting a roof on a trailer and fixing some ceilings. The location of this particular trailer is what most would call 'off the beaten path'. Once on the gravel driveway, you still have about a 10 minute drive. When we arrived this morning to take pictures and help unload the lumber, we found some of the men 'trailing' some turkeys to pass the time. Before we left, John couldn't resist pulling out the ol' turkey call. He and Bro. Dennis took their turns trying to 'call them in'. This was cool, because you see, Bro. Dennis was the one that took John turkey hunting for the first time 3 years ago. Turkey hunting has become a passion of John's. It's not unusual for me to wake up to the sound of a turkey call at the back door, which I admit, does not thrill me. (Although I must say, the harvest is mighty tasty!) Thanks Bro. Dennis for introducing John to the sport of gobblers. . .I think :-)

Maybe we could use a turkey call to get the tooth fairy to come :)
