A wise person (my pastor's wife) once said, "Don't let the work of the Lord come before the Lord of the work". I've thought about those words non stop for quite some time as I've reflected on my life and situations our family has been a part of. Even though you may SEE the 'work of the Lord' doesn't always mean the Lord is in control. Our prayer, for our family, is that every decision we make is guided by the Father and not by our own selfish ambitions. When we meet our Heavenly Father, we want to hear, "Well done, my good and faithful servant". May the work of the Lord never come before the Lord of the work in your life.
