The last 2 days of 2006 were free youth deer hunting days and Dillon took full advantage of it. He and John went hunting early Saturday morning and saw lots of deer, but the perfect shot just wasn't there. After coming in for some good ol' MaMa pancakes and sausage (and a nap), they headed back to the woods for an afternoon full of adventure. Using his "lucky" gun (his mommy's), Dillon tagged him a spike at 150 yards. Awesome job Dillon!!!!

Happy New Year to everyone!
We hope each of you had a wonderful Christmas and are ready for the New Year! We had a wonderful time celebrating with family over the holidays and reflecting on what the season truly means to each of us. We are so grateful for the little babe Jesus that was born so long ago in the manger. It was a nice time to look back on the last year and to see how God has blessed us individually and as a family.
The kids were super excited about opening presents as you can imagine. At the ages of 5 and 7, the magic is definitely still there. We put out reindeer food on Christmas Eve, fixed cookies for Santa, played a game of Polar Express, and then scurried off to bed in hopes that St. Nick would soon be there :-)
