Warm weather has arrived! Praise the Lord!

We are SSSSSSOOOOOO excited that warm weather is finally here! As I write this, there is probably a cold front moving in that I just haven't been informed of yet. I will just bask in the warmth of today and hope tomorrow is just as pleasant. Dillon and Faith were able to get outside and play today. It was great! They had so much fun riding their bikes and pulling each other on the scooter. Give a kid a rope and there is no telling what they will come up with. . . .

Movin' on up. . .

Our smallest little angel has figured out quite well, and pretty much mastered getting where she wants, when she wants. We've had to start closing off sections of the house because she is like a sniper in the night. . very quick, yet very quiet with her maneuvers. She can be right next to you one moment and at the other end of the house chewing on your shoe the next! She has found that she LOVES getting into a cabinet in the entertainment center where we keep papers, atlas, etc. To deter her (yeah right), we put a chair in front of it. Well, she showed us. . .block her way. . and she'll just find a way to conquer it.

Happy Easter!

We pray that you had an amazing Easter and that you were able to worship and praise our Risen Lord today.
Easter is always a time of spending with family. We typically go to Glasgow to spend the holiday, but it just didn't work out this year with our schedule or the rising gas prices. This year, we were "extended" family to the Reed's. After church, Bro. Tommy and Dawn opened their home to our family. They fixed an AWESOME meal (everything from grilled chops and chicken to mashed taters and corn--I even fixed a chocolate chip cheesecake and opossum pie!) and we ate until we had to roll ourselves out the door. We are so grateful to them for inviting us into their family for such a special holiday. They are such an amazing family and are very precious to us.

Experiment 101

Dillon received a book from his Ma and Papa for Easter that has all kinds of neat experiments in it. After reviewing the book multiple times, he and John decided they would try the volcano experiment. They collected all the needed materials and set off to work. Audra kept trying to tell them that SHE was part of the material list, but they just wouldn't listen. She thought it was all about eating the materials, not building something :-) After constructing and painting the volcano, they put together the eruption mixture. As you can see, the experiment was a complete, but safe, success!

Warm weather? Where did you go?

I feel like we are playing hide and go seek with the warm weather lately. It has been 70 one day to only turn around and be 35 and spitting snow the next. I'm much like Kitty (http://www.justgottalaugh.blogspot.com/), I am SO ready to put up the 56 coats, 24 sweaters, snow boots, coveralls and 67 pairs of mix matched gloves. When is this weather madness going to come to an end? I know, I shouldn't be complaining, it's still March; but this teasing is wearing me out. My body is not made for these drastic adjustments. . .and I've lived in Kentucky my whole life, I should be used to it! Dillon and Faith try to get outside every chance they can when the temperature decides to oblige them. Just this last weekend, I snuck out to catch them playing frisbee and riding around in style in Faith's Princess Car. For Dillon's sake, I guess when you are having fun, it doesn't matter what you are riding around in :-) If anyone is in cahoots with the weather man, could you ask him to run the cold weather offf and let the warm weather stick around?
