I had the MOST wonderful, relaxing day today! Could it be an early Mother's Day present or was my heavenly Father giving me a much needed breath of fresh air and rejuvenation? Granted, I woke up (for nearly the 15th time) this morning, less than motivated. You see, obviously my youngest had some issues last night with sleeping. . we were up AT LEAST every hour and half to 2 hours. She wasn't screaming, just crying out enough to wake me. I thought at first she was hungry, but the bottle didn't do the trick. The only thing I can contribute the insanity to is a few bites of vanilla ice cream. **nana and ma, she's been fine today** :-)
Anyway, after our normal (is there such a thing?) morning routine of breakfast, clothes, teeth and school, we set out to do our errands for the day; taking mission team pics, going to the post office, all the fun stuff. John was working down at the Lodge constructing a grill pit, so we drove down to visit him and take him some water. Faith decided she would stay, so Dillon, Audra and I headed back home. After lunch, Audra went down for her nap and Dillon was playing, so I decided to grab my book and head out to the trampoline (w/ the baby monitor) and soak up the rays. It was absolutely AWESOME! I love my kids, but there were no arguments, no boo-boos to kiss, no talking, no NOTHING for an entire 30 minutes! It was like I went pre-kids for those few precious minutes. I wouldn't trade my kids for the world, but sometimes, we all need a little silence and although mine was only a small amount of time, it felt like an eternity, and I even got a little sun in the process! :-) God is so awesome and knows exactly what we need, when we need it!
