One of the greatest moments in a parent's life is when they see their children come to Christ. Just a few weeks ago, John and I were able to share that moment with Faith. At such a young age of only six, we questioned if she really knew what she was doing, but God has assured us time and time again. It's like our pastor, Bro. Tommy put it, the Bible says "...to come as a child". Children don't have all of the pride that we build up as we become adults, they are still innocent in their mind. This innocence is what makes them so genuine in their love for Jesus and makes them have a greater understanding of who He is than most scholars have. Faith knows that God made her and loves her, she understands that she is a sinner, that God sent His only Son Jesus to die for her sins, that He arose on the 3rd day, and that when she confessed her sins, He would forgive her and give her eternal life. Whether your 6 or 86, the facts alway stay the same about God's love and forgiveness.
Last Sunday, John was able to assist Bro. Tommy in baptizing Faith, a particularly special father/daughter moment that neither of them will ever forget!
