Summer Update

What can I say. . it's HOT! We are fortunate in Floyd Cty. to be receiving some rain though. We had a good downpour today that I'm sure our garden loved! John is super proud of his garden (yes, we do have a little bit of flat land around here). So far we have harvested some cherry tomatoes, one yellow tomato, a few squash, and a couple of cucumbers. Hopefully we'll yield more :-)
Dillon and Faith are enjoying their summer thus far. We went to Glasgow for the 4th and enjoyed visiting with family. Faith got to spend the night with her cousin Cate and go swimming with her, and also got to spend a few hours with her friend McKenzie, playing dolls and such. Dillon spent most of his days fishing (imagine that!) They also did lots of swimming at Ma and Papa's house with cousins Cole and Lannie. My dad was in the hospital, so we didn't get to visit much with my parents, but hopefully the next trip he'll be in better health.
Audra is growing day by day. She is a good baby. John tells everyone that she has slept through the night since she was born. . YEAH RIGHT. . he just snores right on through her crying. She does only get up once, which is great. . .but we haven't yet reached the all night sleep!
